Wellbeing Programmes & Groups

At City of Derry Farm & Equestrian Centre we provide wellbeing programmes for both groups and individuals in a safe and relaxed environment.

We nurture positive wellbeing, practical skills and coping strategies through the use of horses in the great outdoors. Our programmes are designed to focus on the connection with self, connection with horse and a sense of purpose.   The stables is a safe secure environment surrounded by 30 acres of lush green countryside.

​​Horse Riding Lessons 
We offer fun, supportive horse riding lessons for all ages and abilities. Children aged 5 and above can join our group riding lessons, where they learn to ride safely, build confidence and enjoy time with ponies and friends. We also provide 30-minute private lessons for children who prefer one-to-one learning, and 60-minute private lessons for adults looking to progress at their own pace.

Trail Rides
Explore the beautiful Faughan Valley on horseback with our scenic trail rides. Suitable for beginners and experienced riders, our guided treks offer a safe, relaxing way to enjoy the countryside and connect with our lovely horses. PONY CLUB
​​Our Pony Club offers children a safe, friendly and nature-rich environment to learn to ride, care for ponies and build confidence. As an official Pony Club Linked Centre, we follow the Pony Club Training Framework, helping children develop balance, responsibility, teamwork and social skills. With experienced safeguarding-trained coaches, hands-on pony care and outdoor play, Pony Club supports wellbeing and resilience.

Horse riding is the perfect activity for a group away day with a difference. Each session can be customised using a wide range of tried and tested activities which will develop qualities such as leadership and teamwork. We cater for all group sizes and levels of ability.
