​As an official Pony Club Linked Centre in Northern Ireland, we give children the opportunity to learn to ride, care for ponies and enjoy the outdoors in a safe, friendly and structured environment.
Our Pony Club supports children’s confidence, wellbeing and social development through riding, pony care and nature-based learning.

Learn to Ride with Confidence

​​At City of Derry Equestrian Centre, young riders follow the Pony Club Training Framework, ensuring clear progression.
Children learn:

• Balance and coordination
• Correct position and confidence
• Communication and partnership with their pony
• Safe riding habits

Learn to care for Ponies

Pony Club members take part in hands-on learning including:

• Grooming and tacking up
• Feeding and watering
• Stable routines and yard safety
• Understanding pony behaviour

These activities build responsibility, empathy and a deeper bond with ponies.

Nature-based learning in the Faughan Valley
Set in the beautiful Faughan Valley, our Pony Club encourages children to:
Spend time outdoors

All coaching is delivered by experienced staff who hold First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications.
As a recognised Pony Club Centre, we offer:
